which telling you
How to Create Your Own Map1. You must have your own city map.
I can guide you how to import your city map become Java application.
I made Jakarta Map from CD (I hope you also have the CD like this).
And I opened & edited it using the Adobe® Photoshop®.
REMEMBER THIS :
Your map image must be 3072 x 3072 pixels
and it MUST BE a square shaped map
2.Open file Jakarta_vpm2.jar using WinRar, look at folder "kep"
3. Slice your image become 12 pieces @ 256x256 pixel,
save it in bmp type, 8 bits. and rename like files in folder "kep"
for example: 1x1.bmp, 1x2.bmp. etc.
4. Replace the files at folder kep with your own files
5. Make sure you file size is around 66 kb
6. After that, you enter to „kep”(image) subfolder, and simply „drag and drop” all the bmp-s into it. This way winrar overwrite automatically the past images. Only one thing left to do. You have to overwrite the name of the program, by editing MANIFEST.MF at META-INF subfolder(in the opened vpm).
After "MIDlet-Name:" write the name you would like : (in our example) :Budapest –VPM. In the end, save changes.
