Functionality of MathType MathType with Microsoft Word * Insert equations o MathType installs a toolbar into Word 97 or newer giving you the ability to insert mathematical notation inline or centered, with or without equation numbers. o MathType in comparison to the Equation Editor owns an enlarged amount of mathematical symbols and templates * Convert Word documents into web pages o Eqations will be shown and printed properly * Formating Equations * Convert all equations to TeX, LaTeX or MathML o Mathematical notation created in the Equation Editor of word can be converted into MathML-Eqations. * Export of Eqations o MathType gives you the ability to export automatically all eqations inside a word document as EPS-, GIF- or WMF-File (Windows only) or into the PICT-Format (Mac only).
